We’re excited to announce that our team has just got a little bit bigger.
Ariel Duarte López has joined our sunny Barcelona office as our new Data Scientist, a new role we have created at Acuity to drive our continued research and development activities.
Ariel is fresh from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) where he studied a Masters in Innovation and Research in Computer Science and subsequently a PHD in Statistics and Operation Research.
Whilst studying for his PhD, Ariel was part of Acuity’s academic team and has been instrumental in building Acuity’s proprietary technology. His intimate knowledge of Acuity’s capabilities and the latest techniques in computer research and science will allow us to capitalise even further on the great work that Ariel and the team have already done.
Originally from Cuba, Ariel brings some much welcome Caribbean flair to our already diverse team. Ariel will continue to work alongside our academic research team at the UPC and will be central to our data and development operations working with our team in the Ukraine.
