Acuity Trading is delighted to welcome Inés Broto Clemente and Carlos Moyano Gravalos to its newly established internship programme.
Inés and Carlos are the first successful candidates to be accepted onto the scheme and will join the Acuity Analytics R&D team in Barcelona as data scientist interns. Inés, who is currently finishing her degree in Data Science at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) will be working alongside Ariel Duarte López and Acuity’s data scientists, under Professor Argimiro Arratia to develop a novel approach for calculating an assets’ sentiment conditioned to its price movements. Carlos will be supporting the research team to analyze topic models and build a macroeconomic forecasting model which will evolve into a model for predicting macroeconomic indicators.
The launch of Acuity’s internship programme marks the next step in Acuity Trading’s growth strategy which aims to identify dynamic talent from underrepresented groups and develop this talent in-house to continue its pioneering fintech innovations.
