We’re delighted to announce that Acuity Trading has been named the winner of the Best Specialist Data Provider Award 2022 by Technical Analyst.

Celebrating the very best in research, data, software and artificial intelligence for financial service markets, the Technical Analyst (TA) Awards have just recognised Acuity Trading for industry-leading excellence. Acuity is proud to be named TA’s 2022 recipient of the ‘Best Specialist Data Provider Award.’

Acuity Trading edged out fierce competition from Wall Street Horizon, Causality Link, and dxFeed, all of which were shortlisted as finalists for this award. Acuity was also shortlisted for Best AI Product along with this win in the Specialist Data Provider category.

The Technical Analyst awards, now in their 14th year, attract participation from hundreds of banks, research houses and software companies across the globe. Entrants are judged by an independent panel of experts who assess various financial services and software to decide what has contributed most to the global financial community in the past year. This year’s TA Award judging panel included traders, research analysts, and CIOs from industry leading organisations like Wells Fargo and Credit Suisse.

Acuity Trading CEO Andrew Lane has called recognition from the TA awards “evidence of our leading role in the integration of tech into the financial trading landscape.”

He credits the tireless efforts of his team in positioning Acuity Trading at the cutting edge of its field:

“The industry recognition is a testament to the hard work of the Acuity team and to our commitment to innovation and harnessing the power of the latest AI & machine learning technologies to create alternative data sources and uncover trading opportunities.”

In the past 12 months, Acuity has further advanced its machine learning capabilities through the development and implementation of its ‘unsupervised topic modelling.’ This is a modern statistical method for discovering abstract topics that exist within a collection of news articles without the need for human input.

That in combination with Acuity’s traditional sentiment data, which goes beyond positive, negative, and neutral to analyse 11 different sentiment types, is now offering traders and investors of all levels a Technical Analyst approved way forward toward deeper data insight.
