New team members to R&D facility in Barcelona

 Lucas’s interests in data science are NLP-related topics and econometrics, the main reasons for choosing Acuity were that those are the two areas in which the company works.  The project’s aim with Acuity is to implement a proof of concept that shows if it can predict macroeconomic indicators based on a topic attention metric in the news.

“For me, data science is an important field as there is a lot of information in the world nowadays  in the form of raw data, if we manage to enhance this raw data into actual useful information for people this will allow everyone to take more logical-driven decisions or at least to ponder different courses of action.”

For Lucas the most satisfying aspect of his new role is that he can work in the areas of Data Science that interest him the most, thus he is looking forward to working at Acuity.
