We are continually refining the Acuity Research Terminal to ensure it integrates seamlessly into your existing platforms. In our latest update, we have introduced a native configuration option that allows you to disable the built-in navigation bar, giving you greater control over the terminal's appearance and layout.
The Research Terminal now features a simple toggle switch in the customisation settings panel to completely hide the default navigation controls.
When the navigation bar is disabled, the terminal automatically adjusts its structural layout and spacing. This ensures that the widget renders cleanly without any empty placeholders, residual menus, or awkward margins across desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports. Furthermore, dependent configuration options—such as logo display and sticky positioning—are automatically hidden to keep your settings panel uncluttered.
For financial services firms embedding the Research Terminal into their own external portals or host applications, duplicate UI menus can create a disjointed user experience.
By natively disabling the terminal's navigation, you can present traders and investors with a cleaner, distraction-free interface that feels like a natural extension of your own platform. This cohesive design helps users focus on market insights and trade execution without navigating conflicting menus.
From an operational perspective, this update eliminates the need for manual CSS overrides. This reduces UI maintenance overhead for your development teams and standardises layout behaviour across all device types, ensuring a more robust and reliable integration.
This feature is available now. You can access the new Disable Navigation Bar toggle directly within the Research Terminal's customisation settings panel.
