Acuity Trading, the UK news analytics company, announced today a collaborative agreement with the Department of Computer Science at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC).
The agreement will see Acuity Trading and the UPC collaborate in areas of research related to computational finance using a range of mechanism including computational statistics, econometrics, mathematical finance and computer science.
Professor Argimiro Arratia, author of ‘Computational Finance: An Introductory Course with R’ said: “I welcome the development of this strategic relationship between the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya and Acuity Trading. It provides our students and department with the opportunity to work closely with industry and forge relationships with business owners who are at deploying Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology in their business.
